How many voices are available?
Available voices depend on your operating system and browser. Chrome on Windows typically provides 20 or more English voices plus dozens of other languages. Select any voice from the dropdown to use it.
Is the text sent to a server for processing?
No. The Web Speech API processes speech synthesis entirely within your browser or operating system. No text is uploaded to any external server.
